Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

1. Your Privacy

Green Wiser Solution & Service Limited (“I,” “me,” “my,” “mine,” “myself”) is committed to protecting your privacy when collecting, using, storing, or processing Personal Data, in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong. My staff will adhere to strict security and confidentiality standards.

Please review this statement to understand how your Personal Data will be handled. By providing your information, you consent to its collection, use, transfer, storage, and processing as described.

If you are under 18, a legal representative (parent or guardian) must accept this Policy on your behalf. The Green Wiser App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us so we can remove it.

In case of discrepancies, the English version of this Privacy Policy Statement (PPS) prevails.

2. Collection of Personal Data

Depending on the products and services I provide, I may collect two types of data: “Personal Data” and “Non-Personal Data.”

Personal Data refers to information that can identify you, including:
(a) name (as shown on your credit card or car registration);
(b) vehicle registration number;
(c) credit card details (number, CCV, expiration date if used for payment);
(d) mobile phone number;
(e) email address.

Non-Personal Data is aggregate or automatic information about usage of my goods, services, or applications, or groups of users from which individual identities have been removed.

2.1 Personal Data is collected in these common scenarios (the list is not exhaustive): when you use or browse any of my Applications; when I provide services to you, including billing and payments; during maintenance and operation of my services and Applications; for collection of outstanding payments; and in response to your enquiries, requests, or complaints.

2.2 Non-Personal Data: when you use my Applications, an activity log may be maintained that cannot be used to identify any particular user. This typically includes details about your use of EV charging stations (charger ID, location, charge start and end times, duration, fee, payment type, and charge amount in kWh); information about the device you use to access my Applications (device name, IP address, operating system and version, network type, mobile Internet browser type and configuration, geo-location data, unique device identifiers, browsing preferences); and data concerning your usage of my Applications.

2.3 Device permissions and sensor data. With your consent through your device’s permission prompts, the Green Wiser App accesses the following hardware on your mobile device:

Camera — used exclusively to scan QR codes on EV chargers to initiate a charging session, and to scan QR codes on payment kiosks. Images captured during the scan are processed on-device and are not transmitted, stored, or used for any other purpose.

Location (while the app is in use) — used to show nearby charging stations on the map, to provide route guidance to a station, to improve coverage planning, and to help match charging sessions to the correct facility. Location is only requested while the app is in the foreground. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings; if disabled, location-dependent features (such as nearest-station sorting) will not work.

Push notifications — used to deliver time-sensitive updates about your charging session (start, completion, interruption), payment confirmations, and account-related notices. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or through the App’s notification settings; doing so will not disable other features of the App.

Network state — used to detect online/offline status so the App can queue actions when connectivity is lost and sync when it returns.

The Green Wiser App does not request access to your contacts, microphone, Face ID/Touch ID, Photo Library, or any background location.

3. Purposes for Which I Will Use Your Personal Data

I gather your personal information when you register for my services and Applications, make transactions using any of them, or send enquiries, requests, or complaints. The reasons I might use your Personal Data depend on which services and products (including Application licences) you request from me. These purposes are described in the Personal Information Collection Statement (“PICS”), Terms and Conditions, Applications, or a relevant combination. If you do not provide the required Personal Data, I may not be able to fully deliver the requested products and services to you.

4. Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data

If I collect your Personal Data, I will: (a) let you know (either through a PICS or a separate notice) that I am doing so and explain how I intend to use it; and (b) where applicable, offer you the chance to object to certain uses of your Personal Data.

I will do my best to keep your Personal Data confidential, but I may share, transfer, or assign this data to the following recipients:
(a) anyone who is a real or potential buyer, transferee, or successor if I sell, merge, or reorganize any part of my business;
(b) agents, advisers, auditors, contractors, or third-party service providers (such as those offering administrative, telecommunications, IT, payment, fraud prevention, insurance, collections, courier, professional, customer support, or data processing services) who assist with my business operations and the delivery of relevant products and services, or who process Personal Data for me; and
(c) individuals or organizations (including government authorities or law enforcement) to whom I am legally required to disclose Personal Data, or who are authorized by law to request such information.

I may also share or transfer your Personal Data in ways described in any applicable Personal Information Collection Statement or Terms and Conditions related to the products and services you request from me.

The parties receiving your Personal Data might be located outside Hong Kong, where the data protection laws may not be as comprehensive as those under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

5. Links to Other Websites and Applications

If you interact with ads or links in my Applications, you will be directed to other websites or apps. Privacy, Personal Data, and cookie practices at these locations are not my responsibility; please review their privacy policies.

Some Applications may let you connect to third-party social networks. If you do, I may collect Personal Data from your profile solely to provide the connection.

6. Cookies

Cookies serve different purposes on my websites:
(a) Strictly necessary cookies keep track of your activity and remember things like form entries or payment details as you move between pages.
(b) Performance cookies gather anonymous data about your browsing, such as which pages you view, to help me improve the site.
(c) Functional cookies save your preferences and suggest content tailored to your interests.

Some pages offer “share” buttons or widgets linked to services like LinkedIn. These third-party platforms may set their own cookies that identify you if you are logged in. I do not control these and recommend checking those sites’ policies for more information.

By using my websites, you agree to the use of cookies. If you would rather not accept cookies, you can adjust your browser settings at any time — visit www.allaboutcookies.org for guidance. However, restricting or deleting cookies may limit your access to certain features on my websites.

7. Security and Storage

Except as mentioned above, your Personal Data, however stored, will be accessed only by my employees or contractors who are authorized to do so. Where Personal Data is stored electronically, it will be kept on a secured server and will be encrypted, password-protected (or under some equivalent form of protection) and accessible only by my authorized personnel or my contractors. The network transmission of Personal Data will also be protected by using the SSL protocol. Personal Data are treated as confidential information by me and all employees and contractors designated to handle Personal Data will be instructed to do so only in accordance with this PPS.

Green Wiser does not store your data directly but uses the services of partners/providers to do so. We systematically choose secure data storage and, when possible, it gets stored on servers managed by Green Wiser.

8. Use of Personal Data in Legal Proceedings

If it becomes necessary that I have to take action against you for any reason whatsoever including recovering from you any money you owe me, you expressly agree that the Personal Data provided by you can be relied upon in identifying and taking legal action against you.

9. Your Right to Access, Correct, and Delete Personal Data

You are entitled to request access to and correction of Personal Data pertaining to you in my records at any time. You may also request removal of your information or Personal Data from active mailing or distribution lists. To exercise your rights, please contact me at the address or email provided below and mark your communication as “Confidential.” In order to verify your identity, I may ask you to supply relevant details confirming you are the data subject. I am obligated to respond within 40 days and may impose a reasonable fee for processing any data access request.

Requests may pertain to: (a) access to or correction of data; (b) general information regarding my policies and practices concerning Personal Data; (c) information about the types of Personal Data held; and (d) general questions and complaints related to this Privacy Policy Statement (PPS).

9.1 Deleting your account from within the app. You can permanently delete your Green Wiser account at any time directly from the App: go to Profile > Delete Account and follow the confirmation steps. When you submit a deletion request, your account is immediately disabled so no further charging sessions can be started, and a deletion request is recorded for processing.

Within 30 days of the request, your account and associated Personal Data are anonymized or removed from our systems. Specifically: your identifying fields (name, email, phone number, vehicle registration number, credit card token) are removed or replaced with non-identifying placeholders; your authentication record is deleted so the account cannot be recovered or signed into; and any Personal Data held by payment processors, push-notification providers, or other processors listed in section 4 is purged according to their retention schedules.

Data we are legally required to retain for financial, tax, audit, anti-fraud, or regulatory purposes (for example, transaction records and invoices) may be kept for the minimum period required by law in a form that separates it from your identity where possible. If you would prefer assisted deletion, email hotline@green-wiser.com with the subject line “Delete My Account” and we will process the request under the same 30-day timeline.

10. Retention of Personal Data

Personal Data you provide is kept only as long as it is needed for its original purpose and any directly related uses. When the data is no longer required for these reasons, it will be destroyed within a reasonable period unless it must be retained for legal, regulatory, or accounting obligations, or to protect my interests.

This PPS may be updated; any modifications will appear on this page. By continuing to use my Applications and services after such updates are posted, you acknowledge and accept those changes.

If there is any conflict between the English and Chinese versions of this PPS, the English version will take precedence.

11. Definitions and Interpretation

Unless specified otherwise, these terms mean:

“Application” refers to all versions (including updates, upgrades, betas) of the software or program used to provide services, as well as related websites, micro-sites, computer programs, mobile apps, and systems — including any online, digital, electronic, or interactive platforms, front-end or back-end, plus any Derivative Works, whether created before or after this PPS.

“Derivative Works” are creations based on existing works, including modifications, improvements, compilations, annotations, and translations.

In this PPS, “include” and “including” are illustrative, not limiting. Actions described as “must” or “should” indicate mandatory requirements.
